Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to pursue further education in veterinary studies. I have been at home for a while and since I did not have enough money for my school fees, I never went to college. Getting a job nowadays is really hard without education. One needs to further their studies in order to be relevant in the competitive market. I, therefore, won't back down on this idea of going back to school no matter how hard situations maybe.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am nowadays ambitious and happy. I managed to buy a few chicken for rearing. This project will be a reminder of the good deeds that Give Directly did in my life. It will also sustain me even after they have finished their program in this region. In addition to that, I have also been able to buy some good clothes. Now I am confident when with my friends or even going to events that happen within our village because I have good looking clothes. I won't have to borrow whenever a special occasion comes up.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My expectation in the near future is to go back and continue with my education. Once I am done with this, I hope to secure a good job and make my life better out of this. I can only do this by investing the little I have at the moment in order to afford my current needs and future goals. I am still thinking of the best business Idea that will enable me to prosper in life. Apart from that, I also wish to grow as a runner professionally. All this will depend on how things turn out with time.

This would not have been possible had it not have been for Givedirectly.

The biggest difference in my life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is clearing arrears. Being that I used to pay my own secondary school fees, I could not raise enough money to pay it before completing school. The school administration withheld my certificate which became set back as I could not get any job. Receiving the transfers has become a door opener because I used it to get my certificate and can now secure a job.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My life will have changed in the six months because I will be in a good training camp in a high altitude area. This place is famed for bringing forth very good legendary Kenyan athletes who have broken world records. I will be happy to train alongside the champions. I also expect to take part in competitions and even win some medals in the next six months.
