What did you spend your third transfer on?
I have a son who is of age but did not have a decent place to sleep so most of my third transfer on buying him building materials that were used to build him a house. At least he has a place to sleep. The remaining amount I spent on paying school fees for my children who are in high school respectively and boost my business of selling mandazi. With this business, I am able to comfortably take care of my family needs.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on buying a 4000 litter tank where I can harvest water being that where I come from there is water shortage but now I can store drinking water.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that I now have clean water that serves my family.I am not scared of contracting any diseases. I am so happy and grateful to GiveDirectly.

I spent my first transfer to pay school fees for my child. Spent some amount to buy uniform for my grandchild who is an orphan, bought twenty tins of maize for my family's consumption and also restocked my food selling business which had gone down

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Being a widow who was left with young children has been the hardest thing I have ever faced in my life. I have had to raise my children single handedly.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Typically, I have very busy days. My happiest part of the day is normally at night when all my duties are done and my children have slept.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
I ll have no stress anymore. I hope to expand my small business so that I ll be able to comfortably provide for my family as well as pay school fees for my children in school.
