How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My entire mind is set on building my own house, so the first and second transfers were used for the construction of a new house. There's no new goals yet.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly did a good job by giving us money to make our lives better. My three children were sent out of school for fees but with the effort of Givedirectly, there have been massive changes in our lives. They gave me respect as a person and talk to me calmly. I haven't seen any fault from them.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought two bundles of zinc and used the remaining money to buy few planks to carry on with the house construction.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was working on my farm when I got an alert on my phone from givedirectly. My husband read the message and told me that givedirectly sent me money and I was very happy. I threw my cutlass in the bush and started rejoycing. I danced and laughed and thank God for givedirectly. I immediately told my husband that we should go home and rest and later go cash out the money and solve our pressing problems.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the fact that my children school business is settled. It has been a big worry for me. I usually credit goods from people to sell before paying my children fees which was a burden for me. But now, I paid my children's fees like I have someone in America who wired me money. I'm feeling so happy and God will continue to bless givedirectly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have decided to pay three of my children's school fees. And the rest of my money will be used for buying food stuffs for family.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I am successful to receive my transfer, I will use the money to establish a business. My main source of income is through farming and the sales from the farm can not afford all of our basic needs, so I will establish a business that will enable us to earn more money from the profit and in turn we can depend on the profit for our survivor.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happy for the past two months and now, because my children and I are healthy and when every member of the family is healthy no worry and sadness and we can be able to move around and look for our daily bread and since the past two months, no one has fallen ill really makes me happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My main challenge is lack of finance or means of getting money that will enable us meet our basic needs is a serious problem for me. My husband and I are forced to do a daily hired Job inorder to earn money for our family survivor, but still the money get can not meet up to all our needs and because of low income, we can not afford to pay all our children's school fees and it can be a serious embarrassment for my husband and I, because seeing our friends children going to school and our children are sitting home because of lack of money is a serious challenge for us.
