Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was home coming from the fields when I first got the text. My husband and I rejoiced and got lucky MoMo agents were near for us to withhdraw. I started planning on how to improve my house because it had a damaged roof, bought food especially beans because the sun hit our crops really hard last year and also a solar panel to lighten up my home.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I would say the GD transfer came in very handy. GD transfer helped me get a new roof for my house, lighten up my house, buy food and save up some money which I think will be very useful for the projects my husband are planning to undertake.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent most of my money improving my house. The ceiling was really in a bad shape and let the rain in, so I had to buy new iron sheets that would cover the top of my house.

What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
The first plan we have is to buy a sewing machine , the first installment i want to study sewing and buy a sewing machine for $50 and my husband Claude will expand his business and open a shop which will bring us stable income the balance we want to finish our house and put on paint. The second installment we want to continue using it on our house building a side kitchen and do other unfinished activities on the house and build a fence and the balance my husband will buy seeds for trading. Receiving this money means having our dream come true, it will help us make our dream come true and be able to reach to our development , we will be able to operate a stable business having enough capital and this will help us in return support other people who are in need.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The first happy event that happened is our marriage, we recently got married 5 Months ago and now we are happily married, i could even say that this is a miracle from God for us. We recently got fortunate to start running a small business of selling banana juice and this is bringing us some stable income even if we don't have capital to expand but from the small we have invested we are happy that we didn’t fall into losses. And having a roof to stay in is a very special accomplishment for us.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
We are newly married but our own development is not easy because we don't get enough money as we want. The small we get from the small business we have we use it in our house expenses and we can't be able to put our plans into action. I want to study sewing and start doing it but i lack the capacity because i don't have enough money to make that dream come true. We don't have enough livestocks thus we don't get enough fertiliser to use in the small land we have and the little we rent. Currently our house is very new and not well done inside because we don't have a kitchen , we have to cook inside and this is a challenge for us.
