How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am very excited to be one of the beneficiaries of GiveDirectly financial assistance. Before receiving payment from GiveDirectly, I dropped out of school for a year plus due to lack of money and while waiting for financial assistance from any one, I got pregnant. For this reason, my goal have been to go back to school, with my second payment I was able to start school using all the money. Now with this new transfer, I used some of the money to pay my school fees. I also used a portion to buy clothes for my son and my myself. The remaining money is kept for our upkeep. I am very happy for organization like GiveDirectly, because of their humanitarian heart I'm in school today to continue my education.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done so well for us. It is because of GiveDirectly financial assistance that most of us lives are changing for the better. Honestly speaking, I haven't noticed anything bad done by GiveDirectly.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
My plan for this cash transfer is to use part of the money to go hospital. I have been face with a sickness that is not getting better.I have this rassen on my breast , which started months ago.I have been using other country medicine for cure because I dont have much money to go to hospital. I will also start a business that will yeild more capitol. Presently the business I have is very small. I invested little money into a table market business that will feed my family. With the cash transfer, I can start a bigger market and use portion of the money to go back to school because am a high school drop out. Since the death of my father, I have been a self supporter, which make things very difficulty for me.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I was part of a saving club with Concern, and got my money after some months which came up to LD 17,150. This brought me so much joy because I was able to use part of this money to start a little market that is feeding my son and myself today. My greatest joy today is seeing Givedirectly at my house, where I have been told that I am a part of their programme and was also given a phone and a sim card.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Some challenges I am going through now is a big rassen that I have on my breast which is causing me lot of pain.I have been having this for the past months.Currently using country medicine but its not getting any better. I dont have much money now to go to hospital for better treatment. Since the death of my father, I have been a self supporter, this cause me to drop out of school when I got in the six grade because of some financial constrain. I now have a child and taking care of my one year old son now is not easy for me. The little business I am making is just to have food for my son and myself on a daily basis.
