What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on buying construction materials like iron sheets, bricks, timber at 1,200,000. Then used the balance of 400,000 ugx as labor to build my house since the one I have been using is about to fall. I will now have a peace of mind knowing that my life is safe from a falling roof.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well by giving me money and putting the biggest joy in my life and family because if it was not for givedirectly to give me money, I did not know how I would get my family and I out of the falling house. In my opinion, GiveDirectly has not done something bad.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I had not recieved the transfer because I now have a permanent house that my family and I are moving in to as shelter from the previous licking and falling roof. If I had not recieved the transfer, I would still be in the falling house with no immediate plan.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i have faced is hunger. My household fully depends on farming. Most of my gardens are in a water logged area and because of the current heavy rains, our crops have been washed away by the rains. These days, my household starves without food since there is no money to buy food which have become expensive
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening.Being together with my grand children makes me happy. This is because these children relieve me by doing household activities like fetching water and cooking when they return back from school in the evening.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means building a new iron roof house. This house will change the outlook of my compound since the old iron roof house that my late husband built, twenty years ago is collapsing.
