How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have developed a new goal with all of my transfer i received from givedirectly. I replace my old house with a decent house with zinc for my family. Before Givedirectly came into my family life, i was suffering to support my family and was living in a leaking tatch, Doping house. People use to laugh at me many days especially when it is raining. But now, i am happy all days and can now afford to sustain my family with the cash i received from givedirectly. Thanks to givedirectly for making my life better.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I appreciate Givedirectly for the money. Everything went well and my life is better than before.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Through the last transfer, i was able to paid my children school fees and saved the balance money to pay the contractors after building my house. With the money i received from givedirectly, the hardship have reduced.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Building a decent house is has been my goal. As seeing my house is leaking and often times I am forced to change the position of my bed especially during the rainy seasons. I have had the desire to renovate it but the lack finance has made it impossible for me to achieve that desire. Now that I have the money available to me by GiveDirectly, I have planned to use almost all to build a decent house in order to have a reputable place to live.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well by sending the cash grant directly to the recipients' phones where no third party like the government is involved. In this way we as beneficiaries of this cash grant have the opportunity to fully access the money and spend it the way we desire. As for what GiveDirectly is not doing well, I have seen nothing absolutely wrong that the organization is doing.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
For many years now, I have been forced to change the position of my bed especially during the rainy seasons due to the lack of finance. I have not been able to buy new sheets of zinc to replace the old ones despite it being in bad condition. Through my most recent transfer I was able to buy two bundles of zinc and two cartoons of wire nails.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
"My granddaughter and daughter live with me in this very small house. The little money I get from my hustle is not enough to provide for the family and at the same town expand the house. Therefore when I get this transfer from GiveDirectly, I will use the money to expand my house and invest the balance in business for the upkeep of the family".
What is the happiest part of your day?
"Because of the many responsibilities I have, I dont easily get money to buy cloths for myself. Few days ago a citizen of my town bought me new clothes and foot wearing, this was a happy moment for my family and I".
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"Because of the size of the house we live in now, we are constrained to the extend that many days my children have to sleep with other community dwellers. Therefore one of my major challenges is to get money and expand my house".
