How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Currently, I am living a better life compared to a few months back before Give directly came to my life. Through their help, I managed to build a spacious permanent house. I also managed to buy a cow that started producing milk recently. The milk supplements our meals. It is also a source of income. I used the remaining amount to pay for my medical expenses. I am grateful to this organization for helping me. I could not have done all these were it not for them
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I really like how GiveDirectly carries out its operations in our village. According to me, the process was so transparent and fair. There was no biasness selecting eligible households. I also feel that the amount they gave us was more than enough. Personally, my life has changed. I was able to do several development projects that have improved my life.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent part of the recent transfer I received from Give Directly to buy building materials. I am planning to construct a new house since the one I am living in currently is not in good condition. Apart from that, I was also not feeling well during that period. The money came in handy in paying my medical expenses. I spent the remaining amount to buy five chicken for rearing. I opted to buy this chicken so that I can sell them whenever an emergency arises.
