Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I wanted to renovate my house by plastering the walls and putting a smooth floor into the entire building. I didn't have enough finances to undertake this project. However, I was so elated when I received my transfer from GiveDirectly. I immediately decided to purchase all the necessary materials to have my house renovated. GiveDirectly is indeed a huge blessing to me and my family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Through GiveDirectly's transfer, I was able to renovate my house by purchasing 16 bags of cement for plastering the walls and floor. I was also able to pay workers to get the job done in time. Hence, getting the interior and exterior parts of my entire house plastered has been the biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving transfer from GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Renovating my house has been my greatest desire. Therefore, when I received my transfer from GiveDirectly, I bought 16 bags (16bags × $1,600 = $25,600LD)of cement to plaster my house. The remaining portion of my transfer will be used to pay workers. I feel so relaxed having received said amount from GiveDirectly. This grant from GD has positively affected my livelihood.

Iam happy because iam hopeful that with the money that is coming from GD, i will be able to do those things i need to do in order to give my family a better life.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challenge iam facing now is not having money to pay my children's school fees, another is that my house has so much cracks in it in that roaches and mosquitos pass through the walls thereby leading to my family being sickly.
