How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My new plan is to build a house in the city of Fishtown. My kids are there renting while going to school. I would like to move there so we can live together in our own house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
The only thing I think Givedirectly is not doing well is that they dont take into consideration people's absence during their visit to villages. When they dont meet you, there is no consideration especially during registration period. This has harmed many people including a widow who cried for consideration but she was denied. On the other hand, Givedirectly is doing well in empowering people to build their homes. This is helping us move from tartch houses to zinc houses. In fact, we are thinking about naming our children Givedirectly, especially who are being born during this period of Givedirectly transfer.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent most of my money on my children school fees, feeding and rent. I also spend on my grand children as well.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Yes, I have new goals. My new goals are to sent my daughter to nursing school and complete my house plastering work. My oldest daughter finish her secondary education last year but she could not further her education because of lack of finance. Also, I built my house since 2016 but could not plastered it fully because I was face with financial difficulties. Now that I have started receiving transfer fund from GiveDirectly my new goals of funding my daughter nursing education will be achieved and I have sufficient finance that I can used to purchased cement to plastered my house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my town GiveDirectly did not enrolled everybody during the registration process. Some people were not present when GiveDirectly team enter our town and as a result of their absence they were not registered. These people are in the same poor condition like myself, and are in thatch houses. Since after the registration stage those that were absent did not benefit from the program. I think GiveDirectly should do well in this area in making sure doing registration stage those that will be absent on the first day of registration GiveDirectly should sent their field staff back to those communities to register those that were absent. I think GiveDirectly should continue to give out financial assistance to poor people.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I Spent portion of my most recent transferred to purchase 20 bags of cement to complete my house plastering work and also register my daughter for her nursing education.
