Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very happy when I saw the alert. In as much as I knew I got registered, it was hard to believe that this would happen. I was very happy and Very excited to receive the transfer.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my life after i started receiving the transfer is that I am able to care of my family. Our family looks healthy physically because we are able to eat atlist two to three times a day. We can also afford groceries like bathing and washing soap, sugar, cooking oil, salt and all necessary groceries around the home.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I did not have a proper sleeping place, I was sleeping on the floor, with the transfer i have bought a mattress and blankets. I have also bought 2 Bags of maize for food in my family. My children and I were also lacking when it comes to dressing ourselves, therefore I have bought clothes to keep us warm. I have bought 2 goats for rearing and selling later.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
To receive the transfers will allow me to buy things I needed like roofing my house with iron sheets, buying beddings for my family as you saw the rooms are empty, no mattress or blankets. I will also buy goats with this money to that they help me in future when they multiply.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The coming in of the program to the village has brought joy because now all our problems will be solved and we will have a breather from our usual problems.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challenges I am facing is lack of money, I don't always find food because there's no piece work out there. So with this money, I'll buy food and continue with casual labor so that my household doesn't lack food.
