How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago in that my family now have enough seats. I had only one seat before thus it had always been my prayer to purchase more. This is because I was always forced to borrow them from my neighbor when I had visitors. I can now receive my visitors with open arms as I now have enough seats. In addition to this, I have been able to start poultry keeping project. This project has already started generating some income which I use in buying some of our basic needs.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My additional goal in life is to buy a heifer. This will lead to an increase in milk production after it reproduces. As a result, the milk that I will be suppllying to the cooler plant will earn me an extra income. This heifer will also be a permanent mark of GiveDirectly in my life.

I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I will have bought a heifer. Expanding dairy project has always been my prayer as it will help me increase my daily income through the sale of milk.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different in that I have been able to meet all my needs without having to stress myself like I used to do before. I used to have high blood pressure- a condition that had given me sleepless nights and a lot of stress. This has since reduced after being able to meet most of my family needs and not having to worry about what I can be able to do to meet most of my family's needs. I am generally happier than I used to be four months a go.I have also been able to take my daughter to a boarding and her marks have greatly improved. She was initially in a day school and she could not get enough time to study and this greatly affected her performance in school. This has greatly inspired me as a parent and has given me hopes that she will move closer to achieving her dreams and live a better life.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months I am planning to start a business that will see me get a sustainable source of income. We are very well aware and alive to the fact that GiveDirectly transfers shall soon cease to exist and we are thinking of diverting our remaining transfers to be able to start a business that will see us have extra income going forward.By this time we shall have as well been able to have clean drinking water in the compound, a project that is nearing its completion.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the past four months is that we have been able to pool our resources together and bought a cow. With the arrival of this cow we have been able to save a lot of money that was used to buy milk. We have as well been able to sell the surplus to make extra income and divert it to other family investments that will definitely increase our income base. We have also been able to connect clean water to our compound and we will be drinking clean water in the near future.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in that we will have clean drinking water in the compound and bring to an end the endless struggle for search of water and also be able to start a small business that will enable me sustain my income even after the end of the transfers.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life currently is different from how it was four months ago in that I no longer buy milk because I have bought a dairy cow. I used to struggle before and even do hard jobs to get the money to buy milk and other household basic needs. I sell surplus of milk at the nearest center to earn an extra income to buy other food stuff that I'm lacking.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goals in the next four months are to start a poultry keeping project. I'm planning to buy twenty hens for a start. This project will enable me to earn an income from the sales of eggs to meet the basic needs of my family and even to save some amount to pay school fees for my daughter in secondary school. I'm also planning on borrowing loan from the women enterprises fund to start a business of a Mpesa shop. Repaying this loan will not be a big challenge in that I will use the money I get from the sales of milk, eggs and from the commission I will be getting from Safaricom.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I used to buy milk from my neighbors and it was so costly for me because I don't have a continuous source of income. Sometimes I could miss the milk due to low supply and my children could go to school without taking breakfast. This was affecting their attention and performance in school. Currently, my life has changed in that I have enough milk and the money that I could have used to buy milk like I use to do before, I use it to pay school fees for my daughter in secondary school and in buying basic household needs. My daughter was in a day school before but after saving some money from the sales of milk I was able to take her to boarding school. Her performance has really improved due to the fact that she has enough time to devote to her studies.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I will have started a Mpesa business. The income from the business will support me in paying school fees for my daughter in secondary school and also to expand the poultry project that I will have started.
