How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago in that I was able to my son's school fees easily hence he has not be sent home due to fee arrears thanks to GiveDirectly.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to buy oxen which will help in plouging my parcel of land.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months is that I no longer stay awake in the night looking for safer places to shelter whenever it rains because I managed to build a decent house which doesn't leak.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that, I will have bought a plough and the oxen hence I will no longer till the land using my bare hands.

The biggest difference in my daily life is the happiness I have for having bought building materials so i believe I'll soon build a decent house.

In the next six months, I expect to have constructed a new house.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is currently different from the way it would have been had I not received the money from GiveDirectly in that currently I can afford a whole days meal with a lot ease.

At the time all my focus are on constructing a new decent house, I do not have any new goals.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face in my life is that I am alone and taking care of my family is becoming difficult since my wife left.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is when I go out to look for a ploughing job on other people's farms in the afternoon. This makes me happy as I am able to get some cash for food.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend my transfer on repairing my house as I will buy iron sheets and cement for the repairs. I will also buy a cow using part of the transfer.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement I am proudest of is that I used to be a dairy farmer and I managed to have three cows which used to supply my family with milk and some I sold at our local market.
