What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on building a two room house for my big family which had been in a rental tiny house. I also stocked food for my family to take us through the famine at hand.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer in a way that my family now stays in our own house, small as it is, and we no longer rent like we used to be.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Give Directly does well not to solicit any money from recipients in form of administration fees or any thing to access the programme. However, GD does not do well to have a short term programme yet it has great impact on communities.

I spent my second transfer on buying a plot and construction materials as I plan to build a good house since I was very badly off.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that my living standards have improved and my hope for a decent life has increased.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on iron sheets, paying the balance on my land because i want to build my own house in the land i have bought. This will save me from renting expenses am incurring right now. I also paid school fees for my children worth 100.000.ugx, and a goat worth 120.000ugx. I am happy.
What are you planning to spend your upcoming transfer on?
I am planning to build a house for my family in my acquired plot of land with the next transfer because am tired of renting and has been expensive for me and I could not build using my first transfer because it was not enough.
