Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The day I received the alert on my phone till today's date, I have been singing praises to GiveDirectly all day for this unique opportunity to we the needy and poor people. For so long I have dreamt of building a new and bigger house with a zinc roof, but this desired had never been realize due to the low income from my petite trading. Hopefully, with this transfer, I can now see my dream of building a decent and comfortable house for my family and I becoming a reality. This is a dream come true opportunity for family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Presently, my family and I are living in a house that is in an uncomfortable condition with a leaking roof and without a good door to serve as protection. I am a petite trader who trade in oil, but with very little earnings that is only used to feed the family and take care of other needs. Interestingly, since I started receiving payment from GiveDirectly, my planned of building a new and bigger house for my family is now glaring. I was able to contract a wood sawer to saw planks for the house. Finally, I am saving the balance money to wait for the rest of the transfers so I can buy all the materials such as zinc, cement and roofing nail for the project. I am very excited to be one of the beneficiaries of this program.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Since I started receiving payment from GiveDirectly, I can see my long time planned of building a new house coming to reality. For this reason, I used some good amount of the money to saw planks. Moreover, I am saving the remaining money to wait for the rest of the transfers so I can buy three bundles of zinc, roofing nail, bags of cement and other building materials to start the project. Thanks to GiveDirectly for this life changing opportunity.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
My plan when I receive my cash transfer is to build my house because this has been a problem for me.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What brought joy in my life in the last six months was the time someone told me about GD as rumours that you people was moving to River-Cess County to start work. I knew that with the presence of GD in our village our lives will get better because of the level of jobs been done you people in other counties that we have been hearing about.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My greatest challenge right now is that I do not have a good sleeping place and moreover I'm in concern susu- club and paying my due every week Wednesday is a serious challenge for me now. If I do not pay to complete at the end of the year I wouldn't receive any money not even the little one I put there from the beginning.
