I loaned out the whole of my second transfer to my friends. I did this as a way to save money but also help them solve their urgent problems.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I lent UGX 1200000 to my colleague at work and I paid UGX 400000 towards my brother's school fees. I spent UGX 50000 on planting groundnuts and UGX 50000 was spent on buying food for the family.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I heard my colleagues discussing about the cash transfers. Unfortunately, I had not yet received any mobile money message. I was compelled to check my account, and that is when I believed that truly GiveDirectly was God sent. At that moment I was happy because my plans would be fulfilled.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The only change that I have witnessed in my daily life is that I am now relieved from stress and worries on how to pay my brother's school fees. This had been my biggest challenge and worry because my brother's UACE results had been withheld.
