How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
From the beginning of the program, my goals were to build a new house and register my daughter in school, I have achieved the goal of sending my daughter to school through the help of GiveDirectly transfer, and I have also started my house project as well. My new goal is to finish the house that I am building, I have been sick for some time now so I have not been able to get all of the materials needed to complete the house but will get them soon.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well by helping us unconditionally without any strings being attached to it, I also love their manner of approach to me anytime I am being interviewed, I love their system of giving as well because it limits fraud. I don't know anything that GiveDirectly is not doing well, all is okay to me.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my most recent transfer to buy a mattress and some furniture for my house, I also bought some fertilizers and other materials for my farm, I bought foodstuffs for my family and the balance is saved for future purposes.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Since I started receiving payment from GiveDirectly, my goal have been to built my own house, presently I'm staying in a relative house that is not even in a favourable condition. Therefore, I used a portion of the money to buy a bundle of zinc as additional to the first two bundles.The balance money was used to pay my daughter's tuition fees.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly is doing extremely well. Personally, I call them way maker and promise keeper. Their love for humanity is very much overwhelming. Every sacrifices and efforts used in reaching out to we the needy will never go unnoticed. Truly speaking I have not seen anything wrong done by GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
After receiving payment from GiveDirectly, with my desired to built my new house, I used some of to purchased a bundle of zinc to be added to the first two bundles of zinc bought previously for my house project. Moreover, I used some of the money to pay my daughter's tuition fees. Thanks to GiveDirectly for this financial opportunity to we the needy.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
No.I don't have any new goals.My primary goal was to buy a new mattress,radio,some cutlasses and a file. I'm going to stick to my goals before receiving this transfer.I also saved some of the money to pay workers to cut sticks and build a new house because the one I live in is not in a good condition. Being enrolled on this program is very overwhelming and I'm thankful that my life is about to get better.

In my opinion GiveDirectly has not done anything that does not satisfy me. They have done extremely well by helping us with a huge amount of money to improve our lives. Things were so difficult for me before GiveDirectly came to my town. I'm so grateful to them for this opportunity.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to be enrolled on this program. Things were a bit difficult for my family and I before GiveDirectly came to our town. But now I can proudly say my life is about to change for the best. I'm planning on building a new house and buying some food items. Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
When I got the money I was so excited about it because when give directly came to my town I just couldn't believe that this program was true so when I woke up that money there were people dancing all in my town so when I checked my phone and saw that money was there I was so happy that I was going to send my daughter back to school and even build a new house for my family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Give directly had brought a complete change into my life,things had gone from bad to good.before give directly came in my life things were hard and very bad that I couldn't afford school fees for my daughter for the past 2 years and my house is very old that when I'm inside it looks like I'm outside.But when your came to my village and my house was chosen things change because I was able to pay my daughter school fees and was able to buy two bundle of zinc to build my house and was even able to buy food for my family.

When I got the money the first thing I did was to pay my daughter school fees who had been out of school for two years now which had been a real challenge for me and was also able to buy two bundle of zinc to build a decent house for my family and the balance money was spend on food which hadn't been easy to get.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am a father of one child and throughout my life I have been living in structures that doesn't represent a dwelling place for a normal human on this earth. If I am opportune to receive this cash transfer from Give Directly, it will be used to build a comfortable dwelling place so I can life a descent life too.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The provision of food has always been a major challenge for me and whenever I'm blessed by neighbours with a day meal that moment becomes my happiest day.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I have been living in Boedrum for more than three years without a partner since my wife and I divorced. Life isn't just good, funding a daily meal without a partner has been one of my greatest challenge.
