My life is different than it would have been if I would have not received the transfer because I am currently able to seek for proper medication. As I result, I feel more healthy and able to do my daily chores with less difficulty. Secondly, I have been able to repair my house and buy a cow, things which I could not do before GiveDirectly sent me transfers.

GiveDirectly does well in supporting the needy and elderly people without any form of discrimination and the transfer from Give directly has greatly changed people's lives. In addition, GiveDirectly's staffs do not come back to ask for any form of appreciation from us. Personally, I do not see what GiveDirectly does not do well.

I spent my second transfer to buy building soil as well as hiring casual laborers to build for me a new house because my initial house was small, shaky and unsuitable for habitation. Every now and then, I was always afraid that it would fall on me and my grandchildren. In addition, I spent the rest of my second transfer on paying school fees for my grandchildren to help them acquire right education that would help them secure a better and promising future. Lastly, I bought a cow from which I hope obtain milk for my domestic use since milk is a precious food to me.

I'm now happy my children can now do their studies without getting worried about the tin lump running out of paraffin. This is because I bought a solar panel which solved the issue since it's cheaper and very convenient. This is the biggest difference in my daily life.

It was around 5.00 am when I heard the phone rung but I didn't bother to check it because I felt it was still early. When I woke up I checked the message and to my surprise, I had received money from GiveDirectly. I felt so happy and prayed to thank God for the blessing.

I had a broken leaking roof which was so inconveniencing especially whenever it rains so when I received the money I used it to replace the roof so that I can stay in a decent house like the other fellow women. I'm glad the roof is not leaking anymore, so I'm not worried about my households being rained on anymore. I also bought a solar panel which I use mainly for lighting so that my children can have an easy time while doing their studies. Previously I had a tin lamp which we could share both in the kitchen and in the living room and this could inconvenience my children while studying because they had to wait for me to get out of the kitchen in order to proceed with their studies. Again the tin lamp was a health hazard due to the fumes it emitted.
