I was so glad after receiving and spending all the first and the second transfer on all the plans that I had with my family. Paying school fees and ensuring that all my children are comfortably studying without being sent home to collect school fees has been the best feeling. We also managed to venture into livestock rearing that I am currently monitoring as I hope to see it grow better. Currently, I don't have any new goals since I am working hard and directing all the resources left to the ongoing projects.

Since GiveDirectly came into the village, everyone had been happy and could not resist showering praises and blessings to GiveDirectly for the great work they have done in our village. A lot of changes have been witnessed and even the families that were hopeless have seen the light once more after spending the total amount on new projects. I have never heard of any negative sentiment from any member of the village, and I also believe that everything was perfectly done as it was promised.

On receiving the second transfer, I had planned every bit of it just like the first transfer that served all the plans that I had put in place before receiving it. I had been doing firewood business where I had been getting into the forest where I fetch on an order that I will deliver to the customer and get paid after. I had to obtain an additional donkey since it is the only means of transport that we use. I also paid KES20000 school fees for my two sons - one in secondary school and the other who just started his first year in college. With the remaining amount, I managed to improve my farming after tilling the land and planting and also obtained foodstuff for my children. I am glad to see all the great projects that are currently running as they have given me hope of a better life in the future.

I was at home relaxing when I saw a message on my phone, When I read the Message I was happy to learn that I had received money from GiveDirectly that early morning, I knew that this would be the beginning of great days to come, this was the only opportunity for me to improve my living standard, I was so overwhelmed with happiness, I then shared the news with my Sister in law, then thereafter when my children came home that evening we all celebrated the good news together.

The biggest difference is that I used to walk a long distance daily, this was so hard for me but I had to endure all this because I had children in secondary school, I also needed to provide for their daily upkeep back home. The transfer came as a relief because it changed my life big-time, with that I was able to clear school fees arrears, I then started a small business of selling milk around the village, and with this, I will be able to watch over my children. The greatest milestone that I achieved was that I managed to build a kitchen house, meaning that I would now have enough space in the living room. I am grateful for the support that has enabled us to change our lives positively, I have been empowered greatly.

When I received my transfer I was so excited and happy, I was in the business of transporting goods using a donkey, it's not an easy one because it involves walking long distance, I needed to build a kitchen house separately from the living room but this was not possible due to the small income that I was getting, When I received the transfer I used 200 dollars to build a kitchen, I then used 100 Dollars in paying school fees, In addition to that I was able to start a small business of selling milk, and finally, I bought foodstuffs and clothes with the remaining amount of money. I am relieved that I cleared the fees arrears that were stressing me up.
