How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
The difference in my life in the last four months is that I am having money on a monthly basis. This has encouraged me in facing my future which I was afraid of for a long time. This is because of my low income which was not giving much to help me meet my needs. I have now cleared the arrears my son had in school and I hope to clear the rest of this year's balance in advance before the year ends.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have a new goal of ensuring I clear my sons' school arrears. I would want him to have humble time in school by not being sent home for the arrears anymore. I will pay on a monthly basis and clear the balance.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving these transfers is that my child who is in secondary school is studying in peace. He is rarely sent home because of arrears unlike before the transfers. I would have really struggled to raise his school fees because my income from brick making does not give much to help me meet in all needs. He used to be sent home on a monthly basis because I was not able to pay for his school fees arrears in time. GD transfers have changed my story because since the year began, he has never been sent home again for arrears. Thanks to GD for the transfers.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I plan to ensure I clear my son's fees arrears by paying on a monthly basis. As I receive the transfers, I will forward to school account so that my son cannot be sent home again. When he has humble time to study, he will perform well.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is different in the last four in that my daughter who is in secondary school has never been sent home because of school fees arrears. I have always used part of my transfers to pay for her school fees bit by bit. Right now I can say comfortably that my daughter cannot be sent home as before. This is because of the GD transfers which I receive on a monthly basis.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal in the next four months is to buying materials such as iron sheets, nails, and timber which I wish to use to put up a kitchen. The kitchen is where my children will be sleeping since they sleep at my neighbors currently. My house cannot accommodate us well at night. I would want to reduce the risk they go through at night to go find a sleeping place.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
In my life, I never knew I could own any livestock. This is because of my low income from casual work which is not only inconsistent but paying very little. I could not even provide for basic needs for my family well that's why I could not spare some cash to fulfill my dream of owning livestock. After receiving these transfers, I was able to sort serious needs such as school fees. After such, I used the rest of the transfer to buy two sheep which I use as an investment for my family and can sell some to raise money for other emergencies.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I have been able to invest these transfers in worthwhile things such as livestock and construction of a new pit latrine and bathroom. I had no livestock before and our toilet was in a dilapidated state as it had been destroyed by termites. I was always scared that the pit latrine would one day cave in on my elderly mother or one of my children which never gave me peace of mind, but with the new one, I am now more at ease.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I want to ensure that I complete paying my daughter's school fees for this year in good time for her stability in school and for my own peace of mind. My daughter recently joined high school and has been sent home a number of times for delayed fee payments which has really affected her morale. To keep her spirits of going to school, I will make it my priority to clear the school fees in good time so that she is never sent away.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I am the sole provider for my family taking care of my four children and my elderly mother. This is a very huge responsibility and burden on my side considering that I do not have a stable source of income and only depend on casual jobs. The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months is that I have been able to provide better meals for my family because most of my daily income can now be used for the household expenses while my transfers can be saved for other projects. This ensures that my family gets quality meals in better quantities unlike before when I had to minimize the daily expenses to save money for other things such as fee payment.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I hope to have completed paying my daughter's school fees in the next six months so that I can focus on other projects. With her fees paid in time, she will have more time to concentrate on her studies and have improved performance at the end of the year.
