Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My only goal, for now, is to finish paying for the course which I am currently undertaking now. I would not want to drop out in the process because of finances. I still want to channel my transfers to pay for it so that I can take the shortest time to finish the course.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I am currently undertaking a tailoring course which I used the transfers to register for. Before the transfers, I did not have any source of income and depended on my parents for all my needs. I finished my secondary school education two years ago and because we did not have enough finances, I was not able to continue with my education. I used the transfers to register for the tailoring course which I will be finishing by April next year. I will then be able to start my own business to sustain my needs. Thanks to GD for the transfers, I know my future will be better.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My life will be different in the next six months in that I will have finished the tailoring course which I am currently undertaking. At the rate which I get money on a monthly basis from GD, I will be able to raise enough money to clear the required fees arrears and buy my own tailoring machine to start my own business. I know by the time I am finished with the course, I will have enough money to buy my machine and start my own business which will help me in meeting my needs and even support the family well. At least, I won't have to depend on my parents as I have always done in the past.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, my life is different from how it was in that, I am able to take care of my needs easily. I was able to go back and continue with the tailoring course which I had left due to financial constraints. I am also a proud owner of a cow which I had bought with the saving from the monthly transfers.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to start a new business which will probably that of operating a tailoring shop. This has always been my passion. Currently, I am doing a course that is geared towards this project and the course has been fully financed by GD's transfers. I will hopefully complete the course by the end of December and establish my business thereafter.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is owning livestock for the first time in my life. Through GiveDirectly transfers I was able to buy a dairy cow. I had been saving my previous transfers and finally accomplished this long-awaited goal. I could not be able to save money to buy one because I could get as little as 200 KES from menial jobs which were hardly enough to meet my daily needs. I am grateful for the financial support which has made me reach my goal.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect that my life shall have changed in that I will have bought the equipment needed for my business to operate. Tailoring has always been my passion since I was a child and I am certain that this business will work out and better our living standards in the long run.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago in that I am currently enrolled in a tailoring course. Four months ago, I had less money since I was saving for my daughter who is now enrolled in a High School. I was, therefore, unable to enrol and pay for my course.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal in the next four months is to rent a piece of land. I will be using it to farm kales, cabbages, tomatoes and cowpeas which I will sell and earn an additional income to support my family. I will, therefore, be relieved from financial burden once this materialises.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is successfully enrolling my daughter in a High School. Since I always rely on farm-based casual labour, I least expected that I could one day be able to take my child to a High School. I thank God for GiveDirectly which has made this possible through the transfers it has been sending me.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to have learnt how to tailor nice dresses. This will give me the confidence to start my own tailoring shop from which I will be able to earn more income. I will, therefore, be self-dependent and embark on supporting my children to acquire the highest level of education they will aspire to attain.
