Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
While getting ready to go on my farm to do my normal routine, I heard noise from the nearby houses. I called my husband to find out what was happening. When he came back, he said GD money is here! I hurriedly ran to get my phone from the corner of my kitchen where I usually keep it and saw the message frim Givedirectly. I shouted with laughter and tears started running from my eyes. I happily ran to finish the work, and in no time, I completed it because I was too energised.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I've suffered from birth since I lost my dad.growing up with a single mother was the most difficult and challenging thing. I had to struggle for survival in and out of Liberia. The only farmland I have wasn't producing because there was not much to harvest but the most is living almost in a completed house. Now I have my materials, work is ongoing smoothly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I purchased ten(10) bags of cement, five (5)pieces of ceiling, 20 pieces of planks to improve my old house. I also bought half bag of rice for feeding and window screen for the house.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I was a business woman buying grand nuts and dried peppers from Ivory Coast to sell in Liberia which was actually helpful to me and my family but in September of 2019, my goods spoiled in a truck that usually transported them to Liberia due to the heavy down pull of rain for seven days leading to flooding and over flowing of the Cavala River which shares the boundary between Liberia and Ivory Coast. As the result of the over flowing of the RIVER, cars couldn't pass so all of my goods get rotten and spoiled which brought me to ZERO and took me out of business so getting money from Give Directly, will be a COME BACK for me in my business. I will used the money to start my same business.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The newly constructed house my husband build for me brought happiness to me because I was unable to build myself a shelter.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The major challenge am facing getting money to send my children to school as a result of that, I have to share them among people to help me send them to school. Seeing my children distance from me is actually a problem am facing.
