Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt very excited when I received this money. Because I have not handle such amount of money in my life before. I have been farming throughout just to provide for my family but it has not been easy for me. My children school fees has been my major concern and I have been thinking how to raise money to pay their schoo fees. Luckily for me, I got this money.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I'm feeling good and happy on a daily basis since I received this money. Because my major concern which was my children tuitions have been addressed. My children are now in school and I'm more relaxed seeing them going to school happily.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My four children school fees has been my primary concern. So, the moment I received my first transfer, I immediately went and paid for their school fees for the first semester. I bought uniforms and school materials for my children. I'm also saving a little amount for future use.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I should receive this cash transfer, I hope of sending my kids to school and expanding the current farm we have. If my children are educated,I'm of the conviction that they will help their mother and I. Secondly, if they're educated, they will not have to go through labor intensive work like me. Expanding the farm will help in sustaining my kids in school because, some of the products will be sold.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I'm a poor Dad who has been worried about my kids education. This morning hearing from the Give Directly family that if I'm qualified, I will receive cash grant, this news brought me the greatest joy since birth. I'm now hopeful that my children will receive quality education because of the impact of Give Directly. I can freely tell you, Give Directly has been my greatest joy in the last six months.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challenge I'm currently faced with is, educating my children. There isn't any school in our village or any nearby village. You either send your children to Monrovia or to the headquarter of our district. Sending the kids to Monrovia means, you have to their medical, feeding and educational expenses. The work (burning of charcoal) can not all of the expenses. Educating my children is my greatest challenge currently.
