What did you spend your third transfer on?
I used a portion of the transfer to complete building my spacious iron roofed house which I commenced establishing with the second transfer. Paid my daughter in high school fee. Purchased some chairs. I also purchased foodstuffs with the rest of the transfer.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I now have a spacious house. I had a very small house but could not built a better one due to financial constrains.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, what GD does well is that it is dedicated to up lift the lives of the poor in the community otherwise at the moment I'm not sure of what GD doesn't do well.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
When I received my second transfer I used part of it to buy 40 iron sheets plus poles and timber costing 18000 KES. I then bought a goat at 2000 KES and spent the balance on buying food items for my family since we did not have enough food in the house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I now live with hope of building a new house for my family soon since I have already bought most of the building materials.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on purchase of paying Secondary school fee for our child (5,000 KES) to facilitate consistent learning for better performance, a water storage tank and dry corn for food (4,000 KES)
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment when I received my money I felt such great joy that I cannot describe!!.The school authorities were at that very moment threatening to send my child back home if I would not raise the required fee within the next 48 hours, so to me the money came to save my situation and I managed to keep the child in class.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face right now is lack of enough money to pay school fees for my daughter who is supposed to join secondary school.if I am unable to raise the required fees she might have to defer her studies.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening after finishing any tasks that I had planned for the day. I usually relax with my family as we wait for dinner and this makes me very happy.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means that I can afford to build a better house for my family and take my daughter to secondary school. This will greatly improve my family's quality of life.
