How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I had never received the transfers. My family eats and sleeps well and we are happy. The oxen I bought have made farming so easy in that I do not have to beg or hire someone to plough my farm when I have my own oxen.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion give directly does well to give people cash transfers at the time when famine had struck. I was able to clear many debts and acquire oxen. On the otherhand, there is nothing wrong that give directly has not done well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on purchasing an ox worth 600,000 ugx and paying off a loan worth 500,000 ugx. I also bought household items worth 130,000 ugx. The balance of the cash transfer I spent it on buying building materials for constructing a pit latrine.
