Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was super excited when i got,the transfer message i have never owned that kind of money my whole life, and this organisation has given me an opportunity to have it,I'm so glad and grateful i pray you continue helping others as you are doing with us.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference is i have a house with ironsheet,if not this organisation i would have died without sleeping in a house roofed with ironsheet.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used the money to renovate my house,i had to buy ironsheet for roofing my house, all along i have been living in a small thatched glass house and this was a big opportunity for me to do things i never managed to do. Aside from renovating my house i have also bought 5 bags of maize and a matress aswell as two blankets.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
This money means that I will be able to solve some of the problems I have been facing. My house is thatched with grass which I have to change often. When I receive this money, I will buy iron sheets which will be used as a new roof for my house. On top of that, I will buy goats to raise. I am certain that I will sell them in future to make money. In addition to that, I will buy maize. I have a farm but I did not harvest enough maize because I lacked fertilizer to apply to the maize this year. As such, yields were low.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest whenever I find piece works, especially when I help with farming rice. The owners gives me a portion of the rice. Sometimes I sell it and make money.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face is hunger. Much as I try my best to farm but mostly the harvest is not enough to last all year round.
