How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
As I have already said, I am paralysed. I cannot walk therefore I cannot work for money or do any significant business in my state. I had an unfinished house and lack of basic needs before your help. That is now history. So, this transfer has really been life changing for me.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Your organisation does well with regards to operational procedures. However, I would have love if the program continued for a little longer. For us with no source of income nor the ability to make one, the funds were really helpful.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I did not have proper house. I started building a house some years back but after I was paralysed, I could not source enough funds to complete the house. So I am using the money, both first and second transfers to complete the project. I have already bought some cement and other building materials.
