How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I first said that I will renovate my house but now, I have decided to do business that will allow me to fix my house to my own desire. The business will yeld more profits that will increase my income in completing my house projects.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done lots of good things for me and my family. Since in life, I have not received such a huge amount of money before. There will come a time where I will explain to my children about the opportunity I once got from GiveDirectly.

I have not spent my money yet but I'm intending to buy cement, zinc and other building materials to renovate my house and buy goods to start a new business that will butress my house projects.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was in bed one night when I heard my neighbors shouting in the town that they have received money. So I happily went to checked my phone and I saw money. Been a single mother, I was very much excited about receiving this money. I was stranded and never knew where to get money to pay my children school fees including other household expenses. I have been making garden just for us to survive but it seems like nothing changed until I received this money.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
As a single mother of three, my husband got separated with me. I have been struggling to care for my children and to pay their school fees. I have been making garden to support my children throughout. Now that I have received this money, At least I'm feeling much relaxed and not worrying about too many problems again.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
The moment I withdrew my money, I registered my children in school and paid all of their yearly tuitions with about 90% of the money I received. I bought some household items for our upkeep. I have been struggling to pay my children school fees for so many years and I don't want to owe the school for this academy year.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am struggling to send my children to school even though my sister is helping to take care of them in Monrovia but I am responsible to send them food and school fees always. So if I am to receive transfer, I will make garden and pay some of my children school.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I have not really been happy from the beginning of the year until now, my husband left me and one of kids died.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The rain season has been a challenge for me to do my pepper and Bitterball garden and there's no much food for me and my kids. Again my husband divorced me and one of my daughters died.
