My life is different from how it was in that, I am now able to store my food well. My cows are also guaranteed to have enough food during dry seasons without fear of getting spoilt. This means they will become healthier and produce more milk. Apart from that, I also have no worries about our food because I built a new granary that will keep our grains safe. The cow feeds are safe as well.

In my opinion, what GiveDirectly does well is giving out money directly to us. Many projects have failed because of involving a third party. There were high chances of losing most of the money through bribes. Even though I might not know exactly how this organization operates, I can tell they are very transparent and unique on how they carry out their activities

I spent part of my transfer to build two granaries. One will be for keeping maize and another one will be used to store cows' feeds. My older granaries had leaking roofs and most of my grains used to spoil during the rainy seasons. This was a great loss because I had to incur another cost of buying food. Also when the dry season came, livestock feed would decay. When I got the money, I was able to turn things around. I am no longer worried about the dry or wet seasons anymore because I finally built a good storage place. I am also assured to have enough food that will remain in good condition for the longest time possible. The remaining amount was spent on plastering the outside part of my house.

I have more income generating activity that can help in my family upkeep. I can also preserve my produce for longer as I built a store /granary.

I felt so happy as I had never received such amount of money from anyone before.

Last year I did not have a granary,so I decided to build one to store my farm produce. I also built a cow shed and chicken shelter to protect my livestock and chicken.
