Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest evident change is the joy that I feel because I am constructing a permanent house. This is a dream come true. Our current house leaks and it is congested. There is inadequate sleeping space. More so, the children are always prone to illnesses such as cough and flu due to the congestion and lack of good aeration. I am glad that with the help of the cash transfers, I will soon be living under a nice spacious house.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I overheard loud screams from the nearby community. We woke up and checked the phone to ascertain if the shouting was as a result of the cash transfers. I was overwhelmed with joy because I was in a very desperate situation.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I purchased iron sheets worth UGX 400000 and bricks worth UGX 900000. I also bought household items such as jerrycans, utensils worth UGX 50000. The balance will be spent to pay the builders.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means that I will spend for building an iron-iron-roofed house. My grass thatched house gets spoilt at atime I do not have money for repairing , so we are forced to stay under unbearable conditions. When it rains our property and ourselves become wet due to rain drops from the roof. This house onces complete will provide a conducive shelter fir both my property and the family members.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest moments in my life is during afternoon. This is atime my children have completed eating hence I get freshen in mind.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face currently is lack of farm land. I donot have where to carry out crop farming, yet this seems the most probably way of earning. My children some time fall sick and I can not even raise any thing for their treatment. This has always put thier lives at risk since I have to rely on borrowing.
