How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before the coming of GiveDirectly, I have worked very hard to built two houses along with my husband. The second house that we built could not be completed because of financial problems. When GiveDirectly came and when I received my first transferred from Givedirectly, I was very much happy. It is through the transfer from Givedirectly now am able to save money to complete my house. I am waiting to withdraw my third and fourth transfers to finally finished the house and start up a business for my future investment.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly have brought a very great help to me and other dwellers of my town. Those who were not able to afford to do business and save money are now investing into business and also those who were never able to build themselves better houses are now having zinc roofs over their heads. With all these good things named, I don't really think that there is anything that is not done well by GiveDirectly. I just want to say thank you to GiveDirectly for everything they have done for me and my family for a better future given to us.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I am planning to invest into business for future income. I have not withdrew my most recent transfer received from GiveDirectly because I have planned to save more money for the completion of my house. I have also planned to invest into business with my fourth transfer to earned more money for future used just incase if the transfer from Givedirectly stops coming.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I have seriously been worrying about where to get money from to pay for my children's tuitions. I was totally out of cash. Sitting outside of the house in my yard, I heard my phone message tune alarmed. I went through the message, it was when I got to realise that it was a transfer message that came from Lonestar Cell MTN send by GiveDirectly. I was so very happy when I saw the transfer amount because it was huge. With the help of Givedirectly cash transfer, I can now be able to pay for my children's education for a better future of them and complete my house that I been building since then. I just want to say a big thank you to GiveDirectly for putting a smile on my face.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I have been having so many problems that I could not handle because I had no money. But when GiveDirectly came to my town, after I was enrolled on this program and I started to receive such amount of money my life has totally changed for good. I am with smile on my face every morning when I see my kids leaving for school. I am also happy to see my house project almost being finished.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I had a house that I been building for a while now and also getting my children's school fees have been a serious shortcoming for me. Due to the hardship, the house has taken too long to be completed and my kids are not in school. When I received my first transfer I bought some house materials to finish my house. I use portion of my transfer to buy ceiling ties and cement to finish the house. I also use portion of the transfer to pay for my children's education and buy their school materials. Seeing my kids back in school puts smile on my face every morning when they dress up to leave the house for school. It makes me to see a better future for them.
