Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I have acquired a cow for milk and as emergency source of money. Secondly, I am connected to many people through the phone that I received from GiveDirectly. I can also listen to updates from the radio in my phone. Previously, I did not have any asset and I was always behind news .
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was overwhelmed with joy when I received the transfer because it was my first time to receive such an amount of money. I thanked God for his love.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I used my first transfer for buying a cow at UGX 800,000. I paid a debt of UGX 200,000. I used UGX 400,000 for stocking produce. I spent the balance for buying clothes, utensils and food.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I can buy livestock and household items. I currently don't have any investment for my children so buying livestock will in away be a financial insurance for their future.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is during lunch time.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in my life is poor health. My children are sickly and whenever they do so, I find it hard treating them since I don't have sufficient income.
