What does receiving this money mean to you?
This money means a lot to me and my family. We have been desiring to have a good house ever since we got married. My husband operates a bicycle taxi business which belongs to another person. He just makes sure to deliver MWK500 per day. On a good day, he makes that twice and the other part we use it at home for basic needs. I believe this money will enable us to have a better house with iron sheets as that's what makes one a respectable member of society. Living in a good house also reduces the burden of always changing grass and plastic sheets each year. The other part will go towards starting a business for my husband so that we can be having adequate food at home.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am always glad whenever my husband brings home something to eat. I rarely work during this period of the years since farming piece works are rare. Hence whenever I have food at home, it's better.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship we face as a family is the poor structure of our house. It leaks a lot during rainy season and we have to make constant changes to the grass as well as plastic sheets since there isn't enough money to buy everything that's needed for a better roof
