Am spending my second transfer on construstion of the iron roofed house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my own opinion, Give Directly does well by giving finacial help to the poor and above all chanelled it directly to my phone. Give Directly is not corrupt.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is far much different than it would have been if i never received the transfer. i feed well, sleep in good beddings and i and my family members look healthy. When the construction is done i will sleep in a secure house.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
My first transfer was spent on buying iron-sheets at Ugx 1,000,000, Labour at Ugx 200,000, a bed & mattress at Ugx 160,000, hiring a saw machine at Ugx 150,000 and the balance food stuff, because am preparing to start building my own simple iron sheet roofed house.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment i recieved the money at around 23:00 hours, I stepped out of the house and ululated in celebration. I was so happy that day.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that i have peace of mind.Before, i used to wake up in the morning worrying how the day will end and how i can also acquire an iron-sheet roofed house.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i am facing is maintaining the family. Every day comes with its own issues yet there is no money. There is also not enough land for cultivation.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the afternoon when i am charting with my neighbour and our children are playing.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means helping me in solve my family problems for example buying books, paying school fees.
