How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that, I have been in position to open a retail shop that generates income for the daily running of my family, which I couldn't open had I not received this transfer.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Give Directly has done well to give me money that has enabled me open a retail shop, and Give Directly has not done any thing bad.

I spent my second transfer for purchasing stock for my shop at 819,000 ugx, weighing scale at 200,000 ugx, rent at 160,000 ugx, house hold items at 90,000 ugx, took to church 100,000 ugx, transport at 100,000 ugx and food at 94,000 ugx, timber nails and labour for making shelves at 70,000 ugx

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life is that I don't think a lot as I used to before I got the transfer being an orphan who divorced with the spouse life generally was not good.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received the transfer I felt so happy. I was in hospital taking care of my sick child but when I saw the message I forgot about the sickness.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I have not yet spent my first transfer but I intend to spend it on purchase of household items and a cow.

Receiving the money is a means of helping me to acquire house hold iterms like beddings.

My happiest part of the day is eveing ,when some one helps to offer you soap or food after selling his or her goods from the trading center .
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship which I face is poverty due to limited resources.
