How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I intended using all of my transfers to build my new house but now, the money is not enough to build the kind of house I want to build. So, I have decided to put stop the house projects and do a charcoal business with my last transfer, save some money from the profits and continue the project later on.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done extremely well for us in this district. I don't know how to thank GiveDirectly for her kind gesture. May God reward the GiveDirectly family for this great opportunity afforded us.

I bought one radio for myself, food and I paid the contractors for the crooscutting of the sticks for the production of the charcoal.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Yes, I thought about building a new house previously but I have decided to do a little charcoals business to sustain myself while waiting on my next transfer. As a widow, since my husband died, I have been living in a small house that is not comfortable to sleep.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
What GiveDirectly has done for me is overwhelming. I'm shock by the level of help GiveDirectly has done in our communities. You have done extremely well and I'm very much grateful for helping me with this money.

I bought gasoline and paid workmanship for charcoal production. I bought ten bags of cement, twenty park of nails, one bundle of metal sheet and other building materials, to complement the house building project.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt very happy when my brother-in-law told me that my money was on my phone. I shared the news with my grandson, he was also very happy. I started thanking God for Givedirectly.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I have been sleep in kitchen for the past 15 years. I don't have anyone to help me because my husband passed away. My children do not care about me. Givedirectly has changed my life by providing means for me to sleep in a better place. I feel good everyday knowing that I am about to start living a good life with good roof over my head. I have been calling to the office to tell Givedirectly thank you but the network is always bad. I am so grateful and happy.

I purchased new zinc with my money to build my house. I paid people to cut sticks for me to start coal business. I also bought a tin of oil for feeding.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Before my husband died in July of this year we were building our house, and since his death I am yet to complete the project, so if I receive the transfer, I will complete the project.
What is the happiest part of your day?
No I have not been happy due to the tragedies I have faced in life (my six children died and my husband died just last month).
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I was a mother of seven children and six died and last month (July) my husband died so I am just living here with my grand children and struggling to get food.
