How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before receiving payment from GiveDirectly, I have been doing farming job. The produce from the farm sale could only sustained us a little, there was not enough money left to buy other necessities thing for the household. For this reason, my family and I have been sleeping on mats for years. With this uncomfortable living condition my new goal is buying Mattresses for us which I did. Happily, my kids and myself had a comfortable place to sleep now and this make us feel so happy. Thanks to GiveDirectly for this life transformation.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly has done a marvellous thing for us the needy. We have worked for years as a farmer and couldn't raised such a huge amount to do all those things we are doing now with GiveDirectly transfer. Their farsightedness towards the needy is so much commendable. In my opinion, GD had not done anything that is not well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
After receiving my recent payment from GiveDirectly, with my new goal to change the uncomfortable sleeping condition of my family, I used a good portion of the money and bought three mattresses for my family and I. Moreover, the remaining money was spend on buying some building materials such as a bundle of zinc and planks for the new house project. I am very much excited seeing my family going to bed now with smile on our faces. Thanks to GiveDirectly, for bringing this great relieved.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
What I have planned already ro do with my cash transfer is to invest it in agriculture because it is what I love doing that will enable me generate more money since GD will not be working with us till internality. While doing my agriculture work I will be able to save enough cash, enlarge my farm land and build a comfortable house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months what brought happiness to me was the news of my first daughter getting married in December. Secondly, I have to dig gold before I survive and in the last six months I was told that there's a new gold site that was just discovered. This news makes me so happy because at least I wouldn't be working the entire day now without finding some gold to sustain my family and I.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest challenge right now is that I have ulcer (sole in my stomach ) and it has been giving me sleepless night because I have been unable to generate money that will take me to a good hospital to get treatment.
