Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money from GD I was so happy and I felt good in my heart. It was my first time receiving such an amount of money in my life and I knew that the money was going to help me solve many problems at home.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am now very happy. I have a family of seven and we are happy because we have food in our home. The other difference is that I now have a comfortable place to sleep on and not on the floor anymore.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have used my recent transfer from GD to buy maize, fertilizer, cement and a mattress. Luckily I have a house already, and now all I have to do is plaster my house and put a floor in it. I bought a mattress because I have been sleeping on a mat for a long time because I had no money to buy a mattress.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
When I receive this money, firstly I'll cement my house, buy a better door and plasta it. I will buy fertilizer with the money and also use it to buy food.
What is the happiest part of your day?
There really hasn't been anything worth note, I'm just thankful for waking up in good health everyday.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challenges I'm meeting is lack of food to fulfill my family. Clothes and basic hygiene needs are also a challenge. This is because my source of money (banana selling business) is not stable enough to afford our daily needs.
