Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal in the next four months is to hire a farm and do large scale farming where I am able to get enough produce and sell in order to get money to pay school fee for my granddaughter. I did not get enough harvest last season being that I had a very small piece of land where l could do farming large scale farming .
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am able to pay school fees for my children at the right time therefore they are able to stay in school without being sent home for school fees, not like it was before when they always being sent home for school fees and they were not able to attend to all lessons therefore leading to poor performance. I am hoping to get improved grades since they now attend to all classes without being sent home for school fee as before the cash transfer. Thanks to GiveDirectly for the positive change they have brought to my family as a whole.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months I expect to have saved enough money to lease farm where I will do large scale farming.

Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to educate my granddaughter who is soon joining secondary school come next year. The girl is a total orphan and there is no one to take to support her. So I will start saving the money for me to pay her school with ease without depending on people. With the support from Give directly I will make sure she gets the best education and have a better future.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that since I started receiving the transfer I am at peace I do not need to worry so much of what I will eat because I know at the end of the month I will get some money to cater for my family needs. Before I was so much stressed and worried because I did not have stable source of income, sometimes I would stay the whole day without even eating anything. I have also earn a lot of trust from neighbors because they are sure when I borrow them anything I will definitely pay after receiving money from Give directly.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months I would have started saving the money for my granddaughter and would be able to admit her in secondary school.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I have had a lot of improvement in maintaining my farms as compared to four months ago when it had to lie fallow. I spent some part of the transfer on hiring casual labor to clear and plough my farms, that I intend to plant sorghum. When land is prepared well on time, I am sure of better harvest that would improve my food security. I would also sell the surplus and save with hope of buying chairs.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I would like to plaster the floor of my house in the next four months. I have started buying bags of cement and hopefully will add some sand which is necessary for the plastering work. This will improve my environment hygiene and sanitation free from respiratory tract infections caused by dust. At least the money that I would have spent on treatments could be instead channelled to buying a cow that would provide me with milk, ghee and manure.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
My life is so peaceful and free from worries. I am able to buy food without any stress, at least I am sure of breakfast, lunch and supper unlike the previous case where a meal a day was unpredictable. I was the gossip of the village and a true reference of cast family since I could go begging for food from neighbours.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My ambition is to buy a cow in the next six months. This will provide me with milk that hopefully will improve on my nutrition and cash flow as I shall sell surplus. I also intend to make some ghee that fetches well in our local markets. With increased sources of income, I will be reasonably liberated from the bondage of poverty.
