What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on buying hoofer, a television, a cow, I also bought Iron sheet, polls and nails that I used in build a new house, I also payed school fees for my son who is still in school
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different because I was able to pay school fees for my children who are still in school, I was also able to buy a cow that provides me with milk and I also bought a solar that helps me in lighting and charging
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
What Give Directly has done well is improving people's lives through sending cash directly to their recipients, without any payments expected in return and I don't see what Give Directly hasn't done well

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to buy a solar panel worth 17000 KES,I spent 16250 KES to buy building materials that i will use to construct a new house,i bought a television worth 6000 KES,i bought a mattress worth 4000 KES. I used 1000 KES to pay school fees for my kid.I used to buy food for my family using the remaining amount.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My business is doing well, i am able to feed my family without much strain,i used to lit my house using a tin lamp but nowadays i have a solar. I am so happy with GD.

I live at the centre, I wish to also own a house. I will therefore buy iron sheet, timber and nails, and build an iron roofed house.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
Am planning to use part of the money to build a three roomed semi-permanenet house since am homeless and live in a a small rental house, I'll use the rest to start a small business selling motorbike spare parts.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is I single handedly bought furnitures for my house, initially I did not have any furnitures in my house and I used to sit on the floor.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship is am homeless I live in a one roomed rental house I also don't have a job I only do menial work to be able to sustain my family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is when am baking my "mandazi" for selling.
