Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment i received my transfer, I was very happy and thankful. My house was grass thatched and always leaked during rainy season and i had always wanted to put iron sheets but could not afford it. My wish has been fulfilled now. Thank you.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my life is being able to have an iron sheet roofed house with your support. Thank you so much.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used the money to buy 27 iron sheets, 3 bags of cement, mattress, blanket and 5 bags of maize. I have also saved some money to pay for carpenters who will work on the roofing of my house. Thank you so much, i can now afford an iron sheet roofed house.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving the cash gift will meant following my husband to South Africa and to rebuild our relationship that was there before he went to South Africa. My husband went to South Africa 10years ago. For the first three years he was able to send child support money and at times groceries. But for the past 5 years he stopped but rumors has it that his relatives told him I remarried. He does not answer my text or my phone calls so I would like to go their to settle things out. If he will not accept me, them I will start working their just to rise enough money to support my children.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happy during the time am sleeping at night, cause that the only time people do not judge me.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced so far is society rejection. In our culture if one has been accused of being unfaithful especially ladies are not fully accepted in the society. People calls you names and it's hard to remarry. So I want to bring my dignity back
