Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My plan is that once I am done building, I would save to buy another cow for rearing. These cows will in the near future be a source of milk for home consumption and the rest for sale for an income.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I was able to save some of the monthly transfers and used the savings to buy building materials for my house. I am currently putting up bigger house thanks to the transfers. This wouldn't have been possible since I did not have a source of money that could allow me save and do this project. I am glad that I will soon be staying in a bigger house.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My expectation in the near future is to have grown both financially and even the status of our lifestyle. I want to improve my family buy doing more of dairy farming and I am even planning to have another cow soon. Dairy farming, from the sale of milk, will help me meet some of our household's needs. I want to be in a better position to look after my family as the head of the house.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four ago in that I have been able to buy some seats and seat cushions for my family. As a result of this, I will no longer be borrowing them from my neighbors in case I have a visitor. Also, I have been able to buy a heifer and it will soon reproduce. Apart from getting an income through the sale of milk, I will be able to save the money I would otherwise use in buying milk.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My additional goal for the next four months is to build a spacious kitchen for my family. The one we currently have is small hence the need to build a spacious one. This will also allow my children to sleep comfortably as they will be having enough space. The house we are currently using as our kitchen will be used as our chicken coop since we do not have any as at now.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Buying has been my routine and it is always costly especially during the dry season. As a way of reducing my expenditure, I had always yearned to buy a dairy cow but this was not possible due to lack of money. I am now glad since I was able to achieve this using the savings I was given in our table banking group. I am now a happy person since I believe that I will stop buying milk very soon when it reproduces.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My life will have changed in the next six months in that I will not be buying milk anymore. This is because my heifer will have reproduced. Also, I will have planted some livestock feeds so that my livestock will be having enough feeds throughout the year especially during the dry season. I will have also finished building a kitchen for my family. As a result of this, my wifes items will always be secure since she will not have to take them outside at night anymore.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My home is currently a comfortable place to live in. I recently bought sofa sets and furnished my house very well just as I had desired. I also managed to plant some maize because I had money to buy farm inputs on time. I used to miss the first rains that are good for the maize and this would lead to huge losses as the drought would destroy all my crops. This year I will have a good harvest. In fact, I have already bought maize seeds for the next season. Therefore I will also be able to plant timely which was not the case previously as farm activities would delay leading to little or no gains in the end. This time round, I look forward to doing well in all my farming activities because of the transfers. I am so strong and feel that I am almost becoming self-reliant financially.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to make my medical insurance payment regular. This is in order to keep my family safe as we are prone to medical conditions. Personally, I have a chest problem and my wife has another chronic disease that usually requires close attention. Having proper medical care is what I am aiming to achieve over the next four months since it will be cheaper to get medical attention when using the cover compared to paying cash.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily is about the way I farm. I currently own livestock especially the one I bought this month when I received my savings from one of the merry go round groups I participate in. Owning livestock in this part of the region is a good investment. I will use the bull I just bought to serve my cows which will guarantee me good quality breeds as a dairy farmer. I usually found it hard to get my cows served on time because my neighbors would not allow me to use their bulls. This has been hindering me as a dairy farmer as my cows would miss being served and it used to force me to prolong the time at which my cows are not in lactation. Spending money on AI services was an unwelcome idea yet I have a lot of space where I can rear a bull at my vast land and the process is also expensive. I am glad that I now have one.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My life will have changed in several ways in the next six months. First, I expect that I will have bought another dairy cow after securing medical insurance. Hopefully, I will have built a larger poultry house and increase the number of chickens. This will ensure a continuous source of income through the sale of some of the Chicken eggs. Having medical insurance will make me the happiest parent since I know that my family can get medical attention whenever they get sick even when I do not have money.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago in that I do plant my farm in the right season like the other people in our village. I have enough food for my family due to the good harvest throughout the year. I now save some money in a merry go round which was not possible before.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new additional goals for my life for the next four months is to save some money in the merry go round group that we have started in our village. This saving group will enable me to buy building materials to build a kitchen because currently, I have a small kitchen which makes the cooking process tedious for my wife.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that during the planting season I no longer delay like before. I used to plant late because I did not have the money to buy farm inputs like maize seed and fertilizers and this was affecting the production. There was always a poor harvest and this was making my family members to miss almost all the meals in a day because I did not have the money to buy food every day. When I started receiving the money from GiveDirectly I purchase my farm inputs on time and plant at the right season like other people in our village. Currently, we have a good harvest and my family can get enough food throughout the season. I also sell the surplus at the market to pay school fees and also meet other additional basic needs for the family. I am so grateful for the support.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect your life to change in the next six month in that I will have to build a better and spacious kitchen and this will ease the cooking process at home. I will have saved enough money in the merry go round group to buy two goats and sofa set seats. I am so grateful for the support.
