Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My life has improved because we bought our own motorbike that does boda boda business hence generating income to the household. It is now easy for us to buy basic needs like soap, food and meet medical expenses in case of any sickness. Previously, getting money was not easy because my husband used another person's motorbike and he could be given little money to bring home at the end of the day's work.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received the transfer, the whole family became happy. On that day, we bought rice and meat which we cooked to eat as we celebrated the transfers.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer for buying a second hand bajaj motorbike UGX 1,300,000 that my husband is going to use for doing the boda boda business. Additionally, I bought clothes for my children and bed sheets.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will be able to build an iron roofed house. The one that I currently sleep in is grass thatched but maintaining it just turned out to be so hard. Grass is very scarce these days. It is just by chance that one can roof the house well. Some times I have had to sleep in a leeking house not because I am lazy but because of scarcity of grass.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest in the morning when my daughter and the rest of the members of my family wake up healthy. I feel good.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I am faced with is sickness. I have a child that has pneumonia. Taking care of her is a little challenging. It is common for her to collapse especially when she feels even just a headache. I do casual labour to raise money to pay for her medical bills. With this kind of life, I am not able to save anything because the little that I can earn all goes into medical bills. Some times I sell even food just to raise money that can clear off debdts.
