How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Presently, my house has become less spacious to accommodate my family alongside other relatives. Therefore, I have decided to build a bigger house to move in. Hence, I bought enough building materials with my recent transfer and immediately began my building project. I am very excited about this amazing opportunity given me by GiveDirectly.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
The various steps taken by GiveDirectly in selecting qualified household to benefit from this program is admirable. Transfers received from GD has greatly improved the lives of me and my family. From my own judgement GiveDirectly is doing quite well with the entire program.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought three bundles of zinc ($33,000LD) to roof my house. I also used portion of my transfer to purchase 1 carton of zinc nails and mixed nails for the completion of my new house. It is amazing to see how much my dreams have come close to reality. With these transfers, my life has improved tremendously. I am grateful to GiveDirectly for impacting my life positively.
