What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on buying building materials that were used to build my a house where he can sleep from and not be sleeping people houses. The remaining amount I spent on buying corn for my family consumption.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion,GiveDirectly does well by giving unconditional cash transfers to the needy. On the other hand,I have not seen anything they do not well in.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I have never received the transfer in that my son would have still been sleeping in other peoples houses instead of his own like he is doing now.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on building an iron roofed kitchen at 25,000 KES, bought a solar lamp at 15,000 KES, I then used the rest of the cash on little house items. Am now happy that I no longer cook in the open as before and I also no longer buy paraffin to light the house as I have a solar lamp which my children use for their night studies.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I so happy that I jumped so high when I received the money because I had never received such amount of money in my life before.

The biggest hardship I face is that I am not able to cater for my family's basic needs such as food, clothing and education due to my insufficient and unsustainable income.

The happiest part of my day is at noon when am with my friends and we chat together.
