How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I am able to pay school fees for my children easily without necessarily having to depend on my relatives for any financial support. The time my children get to stay in school and concentrate on their studies is what makes me happier as I have a sure bet that they will pass their exams well due to the ample time. I am even more financially independent as my finances are in line with my needs and I do not have to work twice as hard to raise income for our upkeep.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Currently, I do not have any new goal as I want to save and pay school fees for my children for the next four months.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that my children can now stay in school and concentrate on their studies. I used to hustle extra hard to get the quality education for them and since I received my first transfers, I made sure they were transferred to a better school. Investing in my children's education is the most important thing to me and I cannot thank GiveDirectly enough for enabling me to give them the best of education there is.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I would like to venture into livestock rearing to help in securing my family financially by buying a cow for rearing. With the livestock, I know my children will be able to go to school, eat well and also have clothes on their backs.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Beforehand, I would do tedious casual work to earn income to provide for my family. This would only cover the food expenses and not pay school fees for my children. They would end up staying at home for so long as I wait for my husband to provide the school fees which sometimes, he would fail to. Currently, I do not depend on my husband as I am more independent financially, Thanks to GiveDirectly.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I do not have any new goal at the moment as I would wish to continue paying for my children's school fees.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
My children get ample time studying in school as I pay their school fees right in time. This allows them to concentrate on their studies well and will eventually yield good results at the end. When I started receiving these transfers, I transferred my children from a public school to a private school. Now I am happy they are getting quality education and I do not have to do tedious jobs to earn income to pay their school fees.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I have always wanted to venture into livestock rearing for the financial security of the family. In the next months, I expect to save and buy my first livestock so that I can have something to fall back to when I have any financial constraints. That is how my life will change in the next few months.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, my life is different since I have a peace of mind and joy in my heart seeing my children go to school without the worries of them being sent home for school fees unlike before where they could stay home for a longer period of time due to lack of money .
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Since childhood, I have also been taught that education is a key to success and the fact that I wasn't given the opportunity to pursue it due to lack of money, I wouldn't like my children to face the same music. Therefore, for the next four months, I have a goal of saving the monthly transfers for my children's education.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
When GiveDirectly came to my village and told me I will be their beneficiary, it was a big relief since I knew my children would go to school smoothly. As a mother, I used to cry and feel discouraged seeing my children at home hopelessly thinking their quest for education was shuttered but now my daily life in the past four months have changed because I am able to save these monthly payments and plan for my children's education.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I am motivated to save money for my children's education hence for the next six month I am certain that I would have paid most of their school arrears so that they won't be sent home for school fees.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My family has been dependant on me yet I only depend on casual work to help raise money for school fees, food, clothing and all the requirements of the family. This has not been easy on me and in most cases, I have tried my best but then I have never managed to sufficiently meet all these demands because of the little pay I earn. The worst part is that we have never been able to eat well since the little I receive, I have to divide to all the needs in the house. In most cases, we have always gone without food to an extent my children go begging at my neibour's house and it has really brought shame to my life. Since I started receiving this transfer, I have been able to ensure we have enough food in the house and as a result, my children are getting healthier than before. GD is really heaven sent. Secondly, we use to quarrel with my husband on very minor issues. A day could not pass if we don't argue especially on financial matters and I came to realize it was because we lacked enough to cater for our needs. Ever since we started receiving this transfer, I wonder where the arguements went to. We solve issues easily and very fast unlike before. There are so much understanding and love between us. I can't believe this is my life now.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Since GD took away my biggest shame of failing to pay school fees in time, I do not want to forget about GD in my life again. I will live to tell of the same to my grandchildren God willing I get to spend time with them For this reason, I want to buy a cow of which I want to take care of to help raise herd of cows in my life as a rememberance of Give Directly. I will ensure the name GD is well-known to every member of my family. cow/goat
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
It has been a shame for my family that every time students are being sent home for school fees, my children cannot miss being in the list. I really tried to do away with this tradition by going for casual work in the village and doing odd jobs like mining to raise money for school fees but I have never achieved my goal of paying school fees in time because of the little pay I get. I had to live with this feeling of a failure until Give Directly came to my life. Ever since I started receiving this transfer, I have been able to pay school fees in time and my children have never been sent home for school fees again. Nothing makes me more happy than this. I wish I had better ways of thanking GD for giving me a new chapter that I had given up in achieving.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
It has always been my desire to own a cow because this will be the beginning of taking my life to a higher level than where the transfers have elevated me to. With a cow, I can be able to sell its calf to raise money for starting a shop business which I know will be a very stable source of income for my family.
