How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The second transfer just came on time. We only harvested one bag of maize from our one acre farmland due to lack of fertilizer. You can imagine the hunger we could have faced with a single bag of maize for a 7 member household. I bought 15 50kg bags of maize to prevent the looming hunger in my family. I have further bought a bag of fertilizer to prevent low yield due to lack of fertilizer. Thank you so much for the support.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly does well in giving out unconditional cash transfers which have improved our lives. I don't see anything that GiveDirectly does not do well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent the second transfer buying iron sheets, door frames and nails in readiness for a new house that I have started to build. I also bought 15 bags of 50kgs maize for household consumption. I also rented one acre of farmland and 1 bag of fertilizer. Thank you so much

Receiving this money is a huge relief as it will enable me to buy some food items as I have been starving for far too long because I have been lacking money to purchase for fertilizers to apply to my maize garden which has been affecting my yields
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest in the evenings especially when I cook a nice meal for my children and seeing them eat happily melts my heart
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Lack of food due to lack of money to purchase fertilizers for my maize garden which has been affecting my yields for several years
