How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been because I have been able to feed better, which was not possible before I received these transfers. In addition, my house is looking better with cemented floor unlike before where I used cowdung to keep it from being dusty.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion,GiveDirectly has done well giving money that has enabled me build iron sheet roofed houses, pay childrens school fees mainly. I don't see anything it hasn't done well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
My second transfer was all spent to buy sand and cement to plaster the house, and to pay school fees.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference is that we are now healthy because I can afford to buy a variety of foods for the family. Life is much better and relaxed because we eat twice a day as opposed to before, when we would have one meal or no meal at all.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I did not know that I had received the cash transfer. Not until the next day when I overheard my father in-law saying that GiveDirectly had sent people cash transfers. I then gave my husband to check for any mobile money messages. I felt overjoyed and happy because GiveDirectly had sent me the cash transfer.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first cash transfer to purchase bricks worth UGX 400000 and sand worth UGX 80000. I spent UGX 50000 to buy clothes for my children. I also purchased iron sheets, cement and nails with the balance of the cash transfer.
