How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I plan to complete my house and fixed it well. I just bought the last building materials. i also pay for a few bags of cement that will be used for the plastering. I also pay my children's tuition and bought them some school materials.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, gd is doing a great job for me and my family. I'm an old man that only depends on the cutting of the plan to survive. since I been knowing myself I have not held a huge amount of money before.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
A huge of my transfer was used to complete my house. I furthermore bought a huge quantity of zinc and cement for the completion of my house. I have also been thinking of doing a business. with this transfer, I will now start doing a little business.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I don't have any new goals. I built a house but due to the lack of money, I haven't been able to plaster my house or fix the floor. I was overwhelmed when I received my transfer.My old goals was to plaster my house and that is what I am going to do. I am a farmer. I have not been able to cater to my family needs. Things have been a bit difficult for us. I am so excited for this program. Hopefully, after receiving all of the transfers our lives will get better.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly is not doing anything wrong. It is doing everything in it's weak way to reduce poverty in our society. We are so grateful for this golden opportunity. GiveDirectly is helping to improve our lives. With this cash program, all of our problems will be settled. Our lives will never be the same anymore. It is doing everything well for us. We are so thankful.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I was overwhelmed when I received my money. I am a farmer. I have not been able to cater to my family needs. Things have been a bit difficult for us. I started building a new house. Due to insufficient funds, I have not been able to complete my house. I am so excited that I got enrolled on this program. My first priority is to complete my house so that my family can have a decent home to live in. I will use some of my money to buy cement to plaster my house. I save some so that when I receive the rest I will start a new business.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was about to go in the bush to cut my palm as usual, when my brother came running to me that he received an alert from GD, I quickly checked my phone and noticed that my own money has come, then we begin to dance and celebrate in the entire town.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I have been a palm cutter through out my live, and I also live in a tarch house. I am an old man and my body can't allow do certain things, but because there have been means I have been on the struggle. My children use to sit home for years and life been so challenging for me, through the help of Give Directly transfer, I am able to send my children back to school, I'm also reconditioned my house to be better. Thanks to GD, I don't have cut palm again, I have enough to feed my family and send my children to school, and finally I will have somewhere better to lay my head.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought zink, nail, and other items to change the roof on my house and make it conducive for me and my family. I also send some of the money to my children so that they can enroll in school this year.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
During the rainy season, sleeping in my house is very difficult because I do not have money to buy Zinc. If I get this money from Give Directly, I will use it to buy zinc inorder to roof my house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Nothing has ever brought joy and happiness to my life than hearing the news that Give Directly has come to help me with enough money so that I can be abled to sent my children to school and fix my house.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest problem I am face with in this life is that, I do not have enough money to sent my children to school because of the hardship in my country.
