Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life is that I have money for constructing a permanent house. This will be a great relief for us having lived under a thatched house for over seven years. This is a tremendous achievement for us.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The money was sent late at night. However, early the next day, I was called out by my spouse who had the phone. He told me to check my mobile account. I was amazed by the mobile money message. I was very excited because I had very many plans for my household.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent the first cash transfer to purchase four trips of bricks worth UGX 1260000 and sand worth UGX 80000. I paid the toilet builder UGX 30000. The balance will be sent on constructing the toilet.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will be able to build an iron roofed house. The one that I have is grass thatched which is hard to maintain the fact that grass is scarce these days.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest in the evening when I am seated with the rest of my family members. I like being with them.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I am faced with is inadequacy of money. I don't have any income generating activity and yet I have a lot of responsibility. I depend on agriculture so as to be able to pay school fees, feed the family and provide any other needs of the household.
